I am a fan of the 1963 film "The Haunting". I have seen it a few times. It is, of course, known to be a black and white film- but I did once see a tv program that included a promotional spot aired on ABC in 1968. The spot was advertising the TV premiere of "The Haunting" and the scenes they showed were in COLOR! Also, at this time, ABC was not showing ANY black and white programming as color tv was very new and they wanted to promote themselves this way, therefore they would not have been showing the film if it were in b/w. So- was the film shot in color and released theatrically in black and white? Was a color promo made of "The Haunting" even though the film itself was in b/w? Thanks for your help.
