Plot: The independent republic of Chechnya is reeling from the Russian invasions. The war-torn land has suffered plenty, but now the Chechens face a foe more terrifying than the Russian troops. An American cargo plane carrying top secret experiments is shot down unleashing a genetically enhanced living weapon, a slithering python of enormous size. Whether viewing the film as an indictment of America's hand in global destruction or an antiwar statement or a cautionary tale about genetic engineering, those seeking deeper meaning in their horror and science fiction tales have ample material to work with here. It's lower-budgeted than the first, the direction resorts to too many slo-mo moments and the effects are nothing but lackluster with them being overly blurry at times. If you must see every sequel, then feel free - otherwise don't bother. -- (TheVideoGraveYard.com)
