DYLAN BAKER (Martin Geller) most recently co-starred in the dramatic feature films "Changing Lanes" and "Road to Perdition." He will next be seen in the romantic comedy "How to Deal," with Mandy Moore. In addition, he stars as the head of the family, Bob Pitt, in the new comedy series "The Pitts," premiering on the Fox Network this spring.
Baker was previously honored with an IFP Gotham Award and earned an IFP West Independent Spirit Award nomination for his performance as Bill Maplewood in Todd Solondz’s critically acclaimed film "Happiness," which took the Critics Prize at the 1998 Cannes Film Festival. Among his many other film credits are "Along Came a Spider," "The Tailor of Panama," "Thirteen Days," "The Cell," "Requiem for a Dream," "Committed," "Random Hearts," "Simply Irresistible," "Celebrity," "True Blue," "Disclosure," "Passed Away," "Delirious," "The Long Walk Home," "The Wizard of Loneliness" and "Planes, Trains & Automobiles."
On television, Baker starred last fall in the TNT original movie "The Big Time," opposite Molly Ringwald. His additional longform television credits include Tom Hanks’ HBO miniseries "From the Earth to the Moon," "Deadly Force," "The Murder of Mary Phagan," "Love, Honor & Obey: The Last Mafia Marriage" and "Return To Lonesome Dove." He also had a recent story arc on the hit series "The Practice," and had a regular role on Steven Bochco’s courtroom drama "Murder One."
Born in Syracuse, New York, and raised in Lynchburg, Virginia, Baker earned his M.F.A. at the prestigious Yale School of Drama. He appeared onstage in such Yale Repertory productions as "Rum and Coke," "Tartuffe," "About Face" and "Richard III." Baker went on to earn Tony Award and Drama Desk Award nominations for his portrayal of the Prince in the Broadway production of "Le Bete," a Theater World Award in "Eastern Standard," and an Obie Award for his performance in the off-Broadway production of "Not About Heroes." He was most recently seen on the stage in Tony Kushner’s off-Broadway play "Homebody/Kabul" and the production of "That Championship Season" at the Second Stage Theatre.
