Plot: A screen adaptation of N. Richard Nash's hit Broadway play. In this cornfed romantic comedy, a poetry-spouting scam artist arrives on a Western ranch claiming he can conjure up rain. But the land isn't the only thing that's dry. The rancher's got a spinster daughter he can't seem to marry off -- that is, until the rainmaker uses his special powers to convince the lady she's got what it takes to win her man.
