Tagline: The Mother Of All Vampires
Plot: Legendary Vampire Lestat (STUART TOWNSEND) has risen from a decades-long slumber, determined to step out into the light. No longer content with being banished to the shadows, moving among mortals who never truly see him for what he is, Lestat has reinvented himself as the closest thing to a god on Earth: a rock star. The intoxicating lure of his music has snaked its way around the globe, ultimately finding the ear of the slumbering ancient Queen Akasha (AALIYAH) in her crypt beneath the Arctic ice. Mother of all Vampires, Akasha has been resting for centuries, waiting for the right time to rise again and seize dominion over the world. Lestat's music is the revelation she has been waiting for, and she desires that he rule beside her. But can Akasha be stopped? Her malevolent power may be too great for even the most ancient of the immortal Vampires to combat - she created them, and their survival depends on her own. After all, Akasha is used to getting everything she wants... and all she wants is Hell on

Expected more and was left disappointed in the end. Was interesting in parts, but also dragged on a bit. Check this movie out if you're a vampire fan, but don't expect much. 6/10--FrighT MasteR (UHM)
Filled with MTV-style direction, many attempts to make a 'alternative' vision of a vampire movie and lots of dopey narration and at times muddled plotting; this is one awful movie. Townsend is no Tom Cruise, the special effects are weak with too much CGIwork and the whole movie just stinks. -- (TheVideoGraveYard.com)
It's also pretty bloodless and sexless. In short, there's precious little to recommend here. Amazing but true – this flick is actually inferior to the "Subspecies" direct-to-video vampire films...-- (eSplatter.com)

Some of the acting isn't very good, all the bad accents get annoying, and the whole thing has no plot. All those things in a movie are kind of pathetic, and it must be hard for actors who are included in it and have to deal with this criticism . --Rachael (Bloody-Disgusting.com)
