Plot: A bizarre, cartoonish actioner about a trio of beautiful, deadly woman warriors known as Wonderwoman, Thief Catcher, and Invisible Girl. These girls join forces against an ancient Ming Dynasty eunuch who is trying to resurrect China's imperialist past by collecting male babies and storing them up to form a new nation. An effervescent yet exhilarating slice of Hong Kong action, the film is sometimes interpreted as a parable about the potential invincibility of a united, democratic China, with the three fighters signifying Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the mainland.
