This biographical picture traces the birth of the Comedian Harmonists, the creation of 27-year-old drama student Harry Frommermann. A German singing group modeled after the American acapella group The Revellers, the six male vocalists quickly became household names, until Hitler's rise in power threatened to tear them apart forever (three the members in the group were Jewish). An inspiring tale featuring original recordings from the legendary vocalists. Winner of the 1998 Award for Outstanding Feature Film at the German Film Awards.
