Plot: A group of anthropologists are on a trip to the jungles of Colombia in search of native cannibals to study. When they arrive, they soon discover that a drug smuggler has taken the natives as prisoners, and are using them as slaves to harvest cocoa leaves. However, the natives soon turn and break free of imprisonment, and much to the horror of the drug dealers and the anthropologists, begin doing what cannibals do best.

external linkWith all the talk surrounding this film, you'd be surprised at how little it offers. A couple of good scenes just can't save this one from being a less than favorable piece of my home video collection. With slow pacing, unconvincing effects, and only a handful of kills, it's barely worth the time and effort.

external linkAs I said, it's a reach to call Cannibal Ferox a horror movie, which might have some questioning it's inclusion on this site. I do feel it's a worthwhile movie though, despite it's reliance on filth to be recognized. If you can stomach the unrelenting nature of the movie though, you just might feel the same way I do about it - if not, at least you can say you sat through it. 3/4

external linkUnfortunately, Cannibal Ferox, which might have been a horrifying vision of a hostage situation, is also dumb, ineptly written, (and acted, and directed), and, most of all, boring. 4/100

external linkLike 'Cannibal Holocaust,' 'Ferox' is a graphic film, which is what earns it such popularity. We get the classic "Bobbit" scene- only to be followed with a late afternoon snack- eating before bed is bad for you. 3/5

external linkA decent itallian cannibal flick. Good gore and torture scenes, but too slow for me. Would have probably liked it more had I been a fan of these types of movies, but since I'm not, I couldn't really get into it. If you liked Cannibal Holocaust then you'll 5/10
