With numerous credits to his name, AARON ECKHART (Rethrick) has positioned himself among the industry's finest. He has earned considerable acclaim for his roles, including "Erin Brockovich" opposite Julia Roberts for director Steven Soderbergh. However, it was his portrayal of a love-scorned, vengeful man in Neil LaBute's controversial film "In the Company of Men" that first catapulted him into stardom. Notably, this incendiary film became one of the highest grossing independent films of 1997. He is currently starring "The Missing" opposite Tommy Lee Jones and Cate Blanchett, and will star in the upcoming "Suspect Zero" with Ben Kingsley. Recently, he co-starred with Hilary Swank in "The Core" and, last year, he starred opposite Gwyneth Paltrow in "Possession," again for director Neil LaBute.
Originally from Northern California, Eckhart studied theater and film at Brigham Young University, where he met and appeared in many of Neil LaBute's plays. In addition to "Possession" and "In the Company of Men," he has starred in two other LaBute films: "Nurse Betty" opposite Rene Zellweger and "Your Friends & Neighbors."
Eckhart's other film credits include Sean Penn's "The Pledge" opposite Jack Nicholson, Oliver Stone's "Any Given Sunday" and "Molly" opposite Elisabeth Shue. He has also worked and studied in New York. His theater credits include Michael Cristofer's "Amazing Grace" opposite Marshal Mason.
