The uncut version with the full on scenes as originally released definately make the film, why they chose to cut the scenes is probably due to some misguided sense of propriety. Its a tongue in cheek film, I found some reviewers taking the whole thing too seriously ! Entertainment wise the uncut for me excels and shows nothing less than the usual Jodie Foster and Dennis Hopper excellence as professionals.
One of my all time favourite films.
