CAMERON DIAZ (Princess Fiona) made her feature film debut in the 1994 Jim Caffey comedy "The Mask." Most recently, she teamed with Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu as "Charlie's Angels," in the blockbuster hit actioner. She has also completed work on two films due out later in 2001: Martin Scorsese's "Gangs of New York," opposite Leonardo DiCaprio, Liam Neeson and Daniel Day Lewis; and Cameron Crowe's "Vanilla Sky," with Tom Cruise and Penelope Cruz. Diaz is currently filming the comedy "The Sweetest Thing."
A two-time Golden Globe nominee, Diaz earned her first nod for her performance in the title role of the Farrelly brothers' smash hit comedy "There's Something About Mary." She was also named the Best Actress of the Year by the New York Film Critics Circle, and won an American Comedy Award, an MTV Award and a Blockbuster Entertainment Award for her work in the film.
Diaz gained another Golden Globe nomination last year for her role in Spike Jonze's offbeat comedy "Being John Malkovich." Almost unrecognizable in the part, she also garnered nominations for a BAFTA Award and an individual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Award, as well as a second SAG nomination, shared with the cast, for her performance. The same year, she received another Blockbuster Entertainment Award for her portrayal of a young but strong-willed football team owner in Oliver Stone's "Any Given Sunday," as part of an ensemble cast that also included Al Pacino, Dennis Quaid, and LL Cool J.
She previously staffed in the comedy hit "My Best Friend's Wedding," with Julia Roberts, Dermot Mulroney and Rupert Everett, which became one of the 10 top-grossing films of 1997. Her additional credits include such diverse films as Edward Burns' "She's the One"; "Feeling Minnesota," opposite Keanu Reeves; "Head Above Water," with Harvey Keitel; Danny Boyle's "A Life Less Ordinary"; Peter Berg's "Very Bad Things," with Christian Slater; "Things You Can Tell Just By Looking at Her," with Glenn Close, Holly Hunter and Amy Brenneman; and "Invisible Circus."
