REGINA HALL (Trixie Norton), an actress who brings a naturally luminous presence to her performances, most recently appeared in the caper comedy “King’s Ransom,” directed by Jeff Byrd and starring Anthony Anderson.
Hall is perhaps best known for her role as Brenda in all three installments of the blockbuster “Scary Movie” horror spoof franchise. Hall also starred alongside Jamie Kennedy, Taye Diggs, and Blair Underwood in “Malibu’s Most Wanted,” as a young woman from Compton who aids in a kidnapping in order to get the money to open up her own salon. She also appeared with Mekhi Phifer, Chi McBride, and Kevin Carroll in "Paid in Full.” a crime drama about a young Harlem drug kingpin haunted by his conscience.
In 2001, Hall signed on to play Coretta Lipp on David E. Kelley’s critically acclaimed drama "Ally McBeal.” Her first appearance on the show was in the spring of 2001 for a 3-episode arc as the junior associate to Larry Paul, played by Robert Downey, Jr. Based on that successful stint, Hall signed on as a series regular for the 2001 -2002 season.
Also on the small screen, Hall starred opposite Wesley Snipes and Sanaa Lathan in HBO’s “Disappearing Acts,” based on the book by Waiting to Exhale author Terry McMillan. Hall’s other television credits include the hit dramas "NYPD Blue” and "New York Undercover.”
The actress’ additional film roles have included "Love & Basketball” opposite Omar Epps, Sanaa Lathan, and Alfre Woodard and “The Best Man” starring Taye Diggs, Sanaa Lathan, and Nia Long.
