JERRY STILLER (Maury Baulstein) finished five seasons on the classic television sitcom, "Seinfeld" (receiving an Emmy nomination and American Comedy Award) in the summer of 1998, segueing right into another hit show, CBS's "the King of Queens." Juggling the sitcom, movie roles, and a new book, Married to Laughter, Stiller has entered one of the most productive and flourishing phases of his long and accomplished career. His Friars Roast telecast on Comedy Central last year received the highest ratings of any program in the network's history.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Stiller received a bachelor of science degree in Speech and Drama at Syracuse University, where he studied with Professor Sawyer Falk. He made his stage debut in "The Silver Whistle," with Burgess Meredith, and appeared in the national tour of "Peter Pan,"" with Lawrence Tibbett and Veronica Lake. As a resident member of the Phoenix Theatre in its first two years, he appeared in "The Golden Apple" and "Coriolanus." Stiller first attained national fame with his wife Anne Meara as "Stiller and Meara," a comedy act they debuted in the "Stiller and Meara," a comedy act they debuted in the early 1960s at the Phase II club in New York's Greenwich Village. The duo went on to play a record-breaking fourteen weeks at Max Gordon's Blue Angel cabaret, which led to national tours and a total of thirty-six appearances on "The Ed Sullivan Show."

Stiller's long list of Braodway performances includes such highlights as "Hurlyburly," "The Golden Apple," "Passione," "Three Men on a Horse" and "What's Wrong With This Picture?" He has slo appeared with such distinguished stage companies as the New York Shakespeare Festival (The Two Gentlemen of Vernona," "Much Ado About Nothing"); Lincoln Center ("Prairie du Chien"); the Guthrie (Nathan Detroit in "Guys and Dolls"); and the Westport and Cape Playhouses (:Beau Geste"). He co-starred in New York with Anne Meara in Meara's "After-Play," which also toured the Westport and Cape Playhouses.

His many films include "The Taking of Pelham 1-2-3," "Those Lips, Those Eyes," "Airport 1975," "Nadine," "The Ritz," "Hairspray," "The Pickle" and "A Fish in the Bathtub." Jerry also stars in "The Independent" with Janeane Garolfalo and will appear in the soon to be released feature film "On The Line." On Television he won praise as charlatan psychologist Dr. Tamkin, opposite Robin Williams in the PBS Great Performances production of Ausl Bellow's "Seize the Day." He and his son Ben appeared opposite one another in the Academy Award-nominated short, "Shoeshine."

The audio version of "Married to Laugher" was nominated for a 2000 Grammy Award in the Spoken Word Categroy.
