Plot: The Chinese folktale lives on in this sequel to Disney's MULAN. After protecting her beloved country from the Huns, Mulan receives an unexpected marriage proposal from General Shang. But before any wedding bells can ring, Mulan must accompany Shang on a perilous journey in order to transport three princesses to a faraway land. The trip proves difficult for the couple, who have trouble getting along under the pressure of such great responsibility. Making matters even more complicated is Mushu, Mulan's lovable dragon sidekick, whose job depends on keeping Mulan unmarried. This film features a fresh soundtrack and laughs for the whole

The songs, the jokes, the romance, the story, it’s all cute enough, I suppose, but is “cute enough” really a good thing? Not here. Kids - especially young girls who eat up anything attached to the Disney Princess line - will find this to be mildly entertaining in a TV-as-babysitter kind of way, but it’s certainly nothing memorable. It’s harmless, sure, but it’s also charmless. --David Cornelius (eFilmCritic.com)
...Mulan II is a decent follow-up to a pretty good movie. It’s worth a rental. Disney fanatics will enjoy it and the kids will enjoy the further adventures of Disney's great Chinese heroine. 7/10--Gary Mitchel

...Mulan II may lack the lushness that comes with feature animation, yet it's still respectable enough and, most likely, couch potatoes won't notice any difference.--Bill DeLapp
