Plot: Earl Crest (Joshua Jackson) and his girlfriend Baby (James King) plan on taking the money they've saved and escaping from their little town of Bennett, Texas to Los Angeles. But just as they're about to break away, Earl's dimwitted cousin (DJ Qualls), an ex-con, and a money-hungry drug lord threaten to stand in the way of their dream. Bullets begin to fly, and soon Earl and Baby are on the run! LONE STAR STATE OF MIND is an offbeat independent comedy with a distinctively down-home bent.
