Looney Tunes: Back in Action Reviews |
Back in Action should please both fans and neophytes of Looney Tunes alike, which is undoubtedly an impressive feat. Though there isn't really any comparison between the film and the brilliant shorts, Dante effectively updates these much-loved characterswithout trampling over what made them great in the first place. [read review] --David Nusair (Reel Film Reviews)
Looney Tunes: Back in Action is not perfect. But it is a well-crafted spectacle of slapstick and satire that flows in the spirit of the cartoons of our youth, and delivers a solid family film packed with whacky hijinx and tons of laughs. [read review] --Joshua 'Clark' Bertram (MovieWeb)
It's James Bond! It's Indiana Jones! It's Ocean's Eleven! It's too much. Looney Tunes: Back in Action misses out on a brilliant opportunity to tell a simple story about a rabbit vs. a duck. [read review]
We are in the age of Newspeak where all that we learned over the past three or four decades has been unlearned or turned into self-referential humour. [read review] 66/100 --Brian Webster (Apollo Guide)
Fast-paced, inventive, frequently funny comedy that will delight both kids and fans of the original cartoons, despite the odd flaw. [read review] --Matthew Turner (ViewLondon)
It's good to have the Looneys back in action, even if they're not completely back on form. [read review] 6/10 --Gary Panton (Movie Gazette)
