Plot: Soccer is one of the world's most popular sports, and this delightful Spanish comedy weaves a touching tale of reconciliation around the game. Antonio decides to get his life back on track when he is released from prison by rounding up his friends and reforming the old soccer team they played in as kids. Seeing his friends succumbing to various personal woes, Antonio believes they'll all benefit from the rejuvenating effects of a good soccer game. Similar in spirit to John Huston's soccer flick VICTORY (1981) and BEND IT LIKE BECKHAM, DIAS DE FUTBOL is an affecting film about the uplifting powers of sport.
