Plot: TV reporter Dean Miller has been sent to an airport to cover a story about an accident that has happened at a nuclear power plant. An important scientist is supposed to be landing at the airport, but when the plane doors open, out streams a group of zombies! Their small number quickly grows as with each human they attack, the victim in turn becomes another zombie. Now Dean, along with his wife Ann, must flee the city, before the armed zombies completely infect everyone!

Umberto Lenzi (CANNIBAL FEROX) directed this rather bizarre, yet popular zombie movie. It stars Hugo Stiglitz as Dean Miller, a television reporter who is covering a nuclear accident in a major city. When a mysterious plane makes an emergency landing near the accident site, Miller goes to cover the story and watches as a horde of flesh eatining zombies burst out of the plane. external linkWell, there are many factors to consider when you decide whether this is a good film or a pathetic one. I pitied most of the victims in that film, their deaths were poorly done with a slash, stab, or shot and little or no blood coming from them.

external linkUnfortunately, the movie's effectiveness is seriously undercut by marginal directing and scenes of completely gratuitous nudity. In the end, City is a film that doesn't have the, er, guts, to carry its own ideas through. 2.5/5

external linkWow, this movie sucks. Even the gore scenes are lame. There is one memorable nude scene that desperate teenage guys might find entertaining. But, aside from that, this is just another awful Italian zombie film with unwatchably bad make-up effects.

external link... if you’re after a fun B-Movie that doesn’t skimp on the old claret, then Nightmare City will be right up your street. But be warned: the ‘twist’ at the end sucks big-time. 3/5
