Jeffrey Tambor in How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)

JEFFREY TAMBOR (May Who) is a multi talented actor whose credits span film, television and theater. Tambor is probably best known for his six-year run on The Larry Sanders Show for which he was nominated four times for an Emmy Award, four CableACE Awards and an American Comedy Award. On the multi-Emmy nominated series, Tambor played Hank Kingsley, the sidekick to Garry Shandling's Sanders. The role garnered him accolades and further public recognition for a career that has been going strong for over 20 years.

He made his film debut with a scene stealing performance as Al Pacino's deranged law partner in Norman Jewison's 1979 film . . And Justice for All. Currently Tambor is co-starring in Pollack, Ed Harris' opus to artist Jackson Pollack, which recently premiered at the Totonto and New York Film Festivals. He recently finished the offbeat romantic comedy Never A gain, opposite Jill Clayburgh.

In 1999, Tambor was seen in Muppets From Space, Teaching Mrs. Tingle with Helen Mirren, and the critically acclaimed Girl Interrupted with Winona Ryder. In 1998 he co- starred in Meet Joe Black, Dr Dolittle and Something About Mary. His film credits also include City Slickers, Mr. Mom, Crossing The Bridge, Article99, Life Stinks, Three O'Clock High, No Small Affair, Heavyweights, Big Bully.

Always busy, Tambor's work also includes starring roles in the TNT movie The Man Who Captured Eichmann and HBO Pictures' Weapons of Mass Destruction written by Larry Gelbart.

Tambor has appeared extensively on stage, starring on Broadway in Sly Fox, the New York Shakespeare Festival's production of Measure For Measure and the Los Angeles productions of Sly Fox, The Hands of The Enemy Flea in Her Ear and American Mosaic. In 1995 he starred in Chekhov's classic The Seagull directed by Milton Katselas at the Matrix Theatre in Los Angeles. Tambor also directed Lanford Wilson's Burn This at the Skylight Theatre in Los Angeles.
