A haunted building with lots of half-finished stories and a few too many, er, flaws. 5/10

Toolbox is a strong film likely to boost Tobe Hooper back into the top rung of horror directors along with names like Craven, Carpenter, and Romero.

A decent slasher; deaths were nice and gory, but too far apart. Slow in the first half, but begins to pick up in the second. Worth a check, but don't expect much. 6/10

The two pictures are basically related in name (and murder weapons) only; this Toolbox Murders not only stands miles and miles above the original, but is well worthy of the classic era of Seventies horror that Tobe Hooper played such a large role in starting.
