Tagline: An adult nightmare.
Plot: Young lovers on a cross-country trip stop in a small Nebraska community and make a shocking discovery. One day, three years prior to the couples' arrival, the town's children killed all of the grown-ups at the apparent behest of a demon simply dubbed "He Who Walks Behind the Rows." Based on a short story from horror scribe Stephen King's "Night Shift" collection, this film spawned a slew of bloody sequels.

While the kiddie religious angle is only so-so (and not overly convincing) and at times they don't feel menacing enough; this opens with a Hell of an effective 'diner slaughter' sequence, sports an above average musical score and makes for steady B-movieentertainment and isn't the worst flick based on King's work. -- (TheVideoGraveYard.com)
Although it keeps some the creepy elements of King's plot, the film changed the story's ending to a happy one, ruining the most powerful thing about the original story.-- (eSplatter.com)
