Tagline: ...you won't be coming home!

Plot: What superficially appears to be an ordinary '80s horror flick is actually, upon deeper inspection, something much more bizarre. Hints of incest, transsexuality, and homoeroticism lie beneath the surface in this story of a summer camp where employees and campers start dropping like flies. History has lumped this into the "HALLOWEEN/FRIDAY THE 13TH rip-off" category, which is an oversight.

external link...this is a much better than average slasher flick thanks to writer/director Robert Hiltzik attempting to try for mystery elements, the fact it's acted well with a likeable cast of young unknowns, it has really memorable deaths and the fact it's completely watchable even if it seems to run out of steam. 2.5/4

external linkThe writing and characterization have realistic touches--even with some appropriately juvenile humor--that achieve a feeling of authenticity, and though some of the writer's intent is frustrated by leaden acting, a few of the players are enthusiastic. 73/100

external linkWhoah, the acting sucks in this "Friday the 13th" rip-off. Still, this film has managed to carve itself a major worldwide cult following. I must confess I don't fully understand why.

external linkThis movie is the ideal slasher flick. It has many constructive deaths, cool camera angles, and an ending that will SHOCK the hell out of you. 3.5/5

external linkYou might think of it as a F13 wannabe with a title like Sleepaway Camp and a cover with a bloody knife stuck through a shoe, but it's no where near F13. I definately recommed this film for any horror fan. I warn you all about the ending though, it's a little disturbing. Check this one out.
