AMANDA DETMER (Monty) plays Marty Wolf's long-suffering assistant Monty in Big Fat Liar. Detmer starred opposite Freddie Prinze, Jr. and Jason Biggs in Boys and Girls, and with Steve Zahn, Jack Black and Biggs in the comedy Saving Silverman. Her other feature film credits include Final Destination, Lucky '3 and Drop DeadGorgeous. Detmer recently completed production on the independent film Kiss the Bride. She can currently be seen in Frank Darabont's The Malestic, starring Jim Carrey.
On television, Detmer was a series regular on M.Y.O.B. and was also featured on the made-for- television movie Stolen Innocence. Stage credits include Amadeus, The Importance of Being Earnest, Othello, Cloud Nine, A Bright Room Called Day, Our Town and Three Sisters. Detmer is a graduate of New York University with a Masters degree in Fine Arts.
