External Reviews

There is no gore, no sex, we don't actually see anyone killed until the final minutes of the movie but there's a horrible weight on top of the men involved in the events and you feel every moment of it. As they crawl and drag and fight their way through the movie you can't help but get drawn in.

Still this is a decent film with some mild thrills and mood, but if you are looking for an entertaining movie, this isn't quite what you're looking for since it doesn't really 'entertain'.

Since the Deliverance comparisons are unavoidable, I'll just go ahead and say it--no, Rituals isn't as good a film, but for my dollar it's a better horror film. And I enjoyed it as such.  --Jack Witzig (ColdSpot)
