This marked the directorial debut of James Cameron but that's the only thing notable in this dull follow-up with fairly competent gore effects but a rehash of a script.
The piranha fish actually fly in this movie, if that makes any sense. It's quite bloody, but beyond that there's nothing to recommend. It's hard to believe it was directed by the guy who would go on to make "Aliens" and "The Titanic."
