All of the characters at the end of the movie are peppered through out....My guess is that his brain is just shutting down and trying to process what is going on around him at the same time. Nothing ever really makes much sense in a dream, and things have a way of changing. the movie does just that. I think when you see Ewan McGregor, it is like when you are "watching" in a dream, where as when you see the "Henry," it is "active" participatin in the dream. Don't know if that makes much sense, but it's the only way I can rationaluze what the blue flip is going on. It'd be great if someone with some real knowledge on this stuff could explain what is happening. I got real tired about 2/3rds of the way through trying to figure out what was happening. Great filming, and wonderful scene changes/editing, but it gets a bit defeated by the convoluted nature of the film.... | | 33 months ago | Tuesday Oct 25, 2005, 7:56 PM |

I thought that the movie was mimicking "Sixth Sense" and that the doctor was going to turn out to be a ghost.. But that obviously wasn't the case. The end really threw me for a loop. So what we know is that Henry was in a a car accident with his parents and girlfriend and died. Sam was the doctor who was trying to save him, and the girl (I forget her name) was also there, and that's how they met. Was it that Henry was constructing the whole thing as he was dying? If that's the case, then why did it seem as though Sam was the one going crazy? The whole thing just isn't fitting together for me.. | | 33 months ago | Wednesday Oct 26, 2005, 4:57 PM |

I think there is no true point to this movie thats the beauty of it. we all walk away with a different perception. To me- at the end as Sam walks away and says "I don't think I'll sleep tonight" after asking Laila out for a coffee, is a given that this film was based on Sam's dream that night of what happened. Who Henry was, his life, all the little insidentials and coincidences- the ring -the blind father -the dog -thepiano -the boy. His brain took snippits from theactual 5minute event and pieced it togetherin this beautiful surreal sequence. Breathtaking. I want more. | | 33 months ago | Friday Nov 4, 2005, 9:10 PM | |
