It's not all for naught as this is decently shot by Hooper, has a decent axe moment and sports a fine peformance by Kevin Conway but this just fails to have any suspense, treads too closely to slasher movie conventions and has a killer with such a poor make-up job it just can't rise above dull. -- (TheVideoGraveYard.com)
There's some neat stuff going on here (including a combined Halloween/Psycho reference), but the funhouse setting--which should have been wonderfully macabre--fails to pay off. Still, it's well-made. 58/100--Jack Witzig (ColdSpot)
Perhaps the biggest weakness of this film is the low body count. After all, it is a slasher film. Here, we've only got four teens. It also takes a good long time for the action to pick up.-- (eSplatter.com)

Highly entertaining slasher flick which looks as if it was made just recently, in other words, not your typical 80s slasher flick. It's got good production values and a strong cast which you instantly root for so if you still haven't seen this one, don'twait any longer! --AnthroFred (SlasherPool)
