Genre: Thriller, Horror, Murder, Psychos, Slasher, Suspense, Cult Classic
Tagline: Please do not disturb Evelyn. She already is.
Plot: An early 1980s drive-in gem, MOUNTAINTOP MOTEL MASSACRE is a genuinely effective horror movie full of bad acting and cheap effects. Anna Chappell stars as Evelyn, a severely disturbed middle-aged woman who, after being released from a state mental institute, returns to run the hotel of the film's title. It isn't long before something trigger's Evelyn's return to madness and she begins terrorizing her guests with a sickle and a crazy look in her eye. Early 80s schlock filmmaking of the highest order, MOUNTAINTOP MOTEL MASSACRE is sure to delight fans of the genre.

Nevertheless, the whole movie was a sticky fumbling that didn't know where it was going. I don't think the filmmakers WANTED the audience to pay that much attention (I know I didn't).. hence the term "drive-in classic".--C. Lochlyn Carter (Diabolical-Dominion.com)
Seems the box art is the best thing here and despite the aforementioned okay beginning and an alright 'sickle in the face' moment this is a poorly acted and slow-going time that's feeble and has an unexciting finale. -- (TheVideoGraveYard.com)
