Mak is a drifter who has recently returned from war. As he settles back into his former home life, he begins to realize that his wife and son may not be exactly how/who they appear to be. The local villagers, already aware of what has taken place with his family during his absence try and drive him out. Unwilling to accept their allegations, he tries his best to hold them off, until he is forced to accept the painful truth.
