Screenwriter Jack W. Thomas purportedly hatched the story for "Embryo" a decade prior to its production, supposedly because its premise was too provocative for audiences. Perhaps the movie's distributors agreed: "Embryo" was not released until more than a year after filmmakers completed the final product.
