Bam Bam and Celeste (2005)

Always outsiders, Bam Bam and Celeste turn to a local gypsy fortune teller -- Kathy Najimy, of "Sister Act" and "Veronica's Closet" -- who gives them the encouragement they need to make a break for it when they see a call for contestants on a reality-TV makeover show which shoots in New York.

As the two best friends make their way across Middle America, they encounter the best and worst of the world outside their hometown. They meet up with some thugs who want to trash their car -- but are saved by a fearless outdoorswoman -- Jane Lynch of "Best in Show" and "A Mighty Wind" -- who encourages them by example to follow their dreams. A racist gas station attendant (Danny Hoch of "Jails, Hospitals and Hip Hop") taunts them, but Bam Bam and Celeste are not deterred; they take him on and leave him in their dust.
