SHANE WEST (Landon), born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, realized his passion for acting at age 15. West currently stars as Eli on the ABC dramatic series 'Once and Again," created by Ed Zwick and Marshall Herskovitz, the creative team behind the critically acclaimed "My So Called Life" and "Thirty Something."
West starred in last year's "Get Over It," a romantic comedy set in high school, that re teamed him with friend Ben Foster, with whom he previously co-starred in Barry Levinson's ensemble drama "Liberty Heights." He recently appeared as himself in a cameo role in "Ocean's Eleven," directed by Steven Soderbergh.
West received excellent reviews for his starring role as Ryan in the film "Whatever it Takes." a modern-day Cyrano de Bergerac. His career truly took off when he starred in the Mark Taper Forum production of "The Cider House Rules," garnering great praise for his portrayal of Angel, his first stage role.
In addition to acting, West sings, plays guitar and writes most of the original music and lyrics for his band, Average Jo.
