It doesn't have much for gore, blood, or scary scenes, but back in the 80's the focus really wasn't on scares. I can see how people can consider this a cult movie, but I personally don't have much appeal to the film. ... A decent rent if you're a fan of 80's horror. 5/10-- (UHM)
One of many 'heavy metal' themed horror flicks to come out in the 80's this is probably the best one thanks to a script that has a good grasp on teen alienation, the fact Price makes a convincing anti-hero and enough silliness to make it an entertainingly mindless time. ... Don't take it seriously and you'll have a fair amount of fun. -- (TheVideoGraveYard.com)

Far from remarkable, but still more fun than it should be. --Jack Witzig (ColdSpot)
