Director/writer Almereyda has crafted a very strange and eccentric film that sometimes gets shaky in its scripting but is still interesting, odd and quite compelling. For most of its running time it's quiet and not a heck of a lot happens, but once the mummy comes back it starts to pick-up some as we're treated to some decent plot twists and a couple of decent deaths. ... Recommended for a nice change of pace. -- (TheVideoGraveYard.com)

It seems almost rushed--as if the filmmakers lost interest in the lengthy backstory they had created and just gave up on the film. --Jack Witzig (ColdSpot)
