Plot: CODE 33 begins in June with City of Miami Police detectives investigating the rape of a young girl off Coral Way. One week later another young girl is raped around the corner. The police quickly discover that the same man is responsible for both cases, as well as five previously unconnected rapes in neighboring Little Havana. A task force of over 100 officers is formed to find the rapist.

The media jumps on the story, raising public awareness and blasting police efforts. The sketches of the subject are plastered on billboards through out the city. Frustrated by cold leads and fueled by Cuban coffee, the detectives scour the streets. They stop more than 200 men without making an arrest. Angry, but determined, the detectives are convinced the rapist is poised to strike again. As summer ends, he makes and attempt on a young woman. This time the cops and the CODE 33 cameras are waiting.

Using unprecedented access, the filmmakers go behind-the-scenes of the Miami Police Department's largest serial rape case.
