Suspenseful and well-acted, it features all of the set-pieces you'd expect from this series now, from an adaptation of Bernard Herrmann's original score to knife murders. Bates' comes across as a tragic, almost likeable character, desperately at odds with a mental illness that drives him to kill.-- (eSplatter.com)
The worst thing about the movie was probably the very bad CGI effects that they had used for the hyena's, I bet ya many people choked on their popcorn when they appeared for the first time. I can only recommend this for people who liked the other Exorcist films, if you didn't like the others, you will not like this one very much either.  --AnthroFred (SlasherPool)
