In a deserted graveyard in the dead of night, a crack-brained doctor and his two assistants unearth an unfortunate individual they believe to have been buried alive. When they pry open the coffin lid, they get a big surprise.

Held hostage by the "The Red Death" plague outside the castle of the Satanic Prince Prospero's castle, the refugees are "invited" to a bizarre masked ball and to indulge in numerous depraved games which lead to someone's death. "The Premature Burial" (1962, 81min.) - A catatonic millionaire faces his worst fear, being buried alive. The wealthy Englishman escapes from his grave to pay revenge on the two people responsible - his doctor and his greedy wife.
