Plot: While investigating the mysterious deeds of a serial killer, Las Vegas reporter Carl Kolchak uncovers the unbelievable truth--his suspect is a vampire. But his editor and the local police bury the story, leaving him to contend with the horror alone. Made for ABC television, this was one of the highest-rated television movies ever made, followed by THE NIGHT STRANGLER and a short-lived television series that was the precursor to The X-Files.
