Plot: Julie Delpy (BEFORE SUNRISE) stars in this tale of pre-wartime romance and danger. Set in 1913 Paris, VILLA DES ROSES follows Louise Creteur (Delpy), a stunning young widow, to the Villa Des Roses, where she plans to work as a chambermaid. Once there, Louise realizes the place is a rundown old mansion run by a bunch of kooks. Despite the strange behavior of her coworkers, Louise tries to warm to their ways, eager to blend in and become a spectacle. But this becomes impossible when she begins a relationship with a German artist staying at the house, and becomes the subject of relentless gossip.
