Plot: At the tender age of 12, Carol embarks on a journey that will forever change her life. Set in 1938, CAROL'S JOURNEY explores what happens when a young girl born and raised in New York City must leave the comforts and modern-day luxuries of home for the tradition and history of Spain, where her family is originally from. Dropped into the middle of a politically divided family--and a civil war--Carol has a period of serious cultural adjustment in store for her. Through her friendship with a local teacher and boy named Tomiche, Carol settles into village life and inspires change in the community around her.
