Plot: A tragic death brings five old friends back to their hometown for the funeral of the deceased. After the funeral, they decide to spend the weekend at a favorite childhood vacation spot--but they don't know that a strain of mutant flies has taken over the house where they are staying.  Some who rent Infested just won’t “get it,” will see it as nothing but another trip into tired territory, but those who can see the cleverness behind the cliches are sure to be delighted, and will likely (and rightly) count the movie among the best of its direct-to-video kind.--John Dedeke (Diabolical-Dominion.com)
The effects for the movie were obviously low-budget. I think they woulda been better off leaving the lame CGI out, but oh well. ... A decent rent for a low-budget horror flick, but expect a lot of bad acting and cheese. 5/10-- (UHM)
