GWYNETH PALTROW (Rosemary) has been watched with keen interest by Hollywood since her breakthrough performance in the critically acclaimed "Flesh and Bone," opposite Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid. Her role as Viola de Lessups, opposite Joseph Fiennes, in the award-winning "Shakespeare in Love" garnered her a Golden Globe Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award® and an Academy Award® for Best Actress.
Paltrow stars in three forthcoming releases: Neil LaBute's "Possession," Bruno Baretto's "A View From the Top" and Wes Anderson's "The Royal Tennenbaums," opposite Gene Hackman and Anjelica Huston. She also made a cameo appearance in Jennifer Jason Leigh and Alan Cummings' "The Anniversary Party," starring Alan Cumming, John C. Reilly, Kevin Kline and Jennifer Jason Leigh.
Previously, Paltrow starred in "Duets," a film directed by her father Bruce Paltrow, and "Bounce," opposite Ben Affleck and directed by Don Roos. Paltrow has also starred in director Anthony Minghella's critically acclaimed "The Talented Mr. Ripley," opposite Matt Damon, Jude Law and Cate Blanchett, "A Perfect Murder," opposite Michael Douglas and Viggo Mortensen, and "Sliding Doors."

On stage, Paltrow appeared in the Williamstown, Massachusetts Theatre Festival's production of "As You Like It," for which she received rave reviews for her performance as 'Rosalind.'
Born in Los Angeles where she spent the first eleven years of her life, Paltrow comes from a close-knit family deeply entrenched in the entertainment industry. Her father, Bruce Paltrow, is a highly successful producer ("St. Elsewhere," "The White Shadow") and her mother is the award-winning actress Blythe Danner.
At the age of eleven, her family moved to New York where she attended the Spence School. After graduation, she enrolled in the University of California at Santa Barbara with the intention of majoring in Art History. But she quickly learned that college life was not something she felt committed to and withdrew from school despite her father's strong recommendation for her to remain. It wasn't until he caught her moving performance in the Williamstown Theater production of "Picnic," starring opposite her mother and Tony Goldwyn, that he lent his support in her pursuit of an acting career.
