MARK CROWDY's original idea about a widow left in the cold by her scoundrel husband led to the screenplay of Saving Grace by Crowdy and Craig Ferguson. Crowdy began his career as an actor starring on stage, television and screen, before moving into production as Director of Landmark Films from 1987 to 1992. He went on to become the founding director of First Standard Media which produced The Mystery of Edwin Drood. Crowdy then helped to develop Channel 4's "Lonely Planet" series that has been seen in over 30 countries.
More recently, Crowdy co-wrote and developed Sophiatown for Mick Jagger's Jagged Films and produced the feature film Sorted.
