Plot: This blood-drenched bear isn't looking for "pick-a-nick baskets," and Mr. Ranger isn't forgiving any "boo-boos" -- not this time. An innocent day in the park turns deadly when a bear that is inexplicably 18 feet tall emerges from the forest. Another great edition to the "mutant killer animals" genre, GRIZZLY should be avoided by people with a phobia of bears but is a must-see for fans of the unrealistic horror film.

external linkOkay stuff is one of the many animal-themed horror movies to glut the 70's and while it gets rather silly in the poor finale and it plays campily these days it's an alright timewaster. 2/4

external linkA few gory attacks keep things mildly interesting and a decent cast including Richard Jaeckel and George lend some credibility to the proceedings. Not bad if you're in the mood for a '70s "nature gets its revenge on mankind" flick.
