"...packs an emotional punch..." - Village Voice On a sweltering Christmas Eve in Buenos Aires, the fates of four lonely men intertwine in this award-winning comedy-drama. In a series of wry coincidences, an overworked stand-up comic, a successful writer, a young father and a handsome doctor cross paths as they try to make it through a night of most peculiar circumstances. In this captivation and stunningly crafted film, Lucho Bender reveals a style and sensibility that evokes Robert Altman's genius for interweaving plot lines and Jim Jarmusch's depictions of surviving alienation. Felicidades is a congratulatory expression as in "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Holidays". It's a hot and humid Christmas Eve in Buenos Aires and everything seems to be going wrong. The car breaks down, the pet dies, there's a gift here somewhere that just can't be found, and a love that is not going to happen. It is the season to be jolly and everyone is trying really hard; but reality gets in the way, looking more like a nightmare than a happy holiday in this award-winning comedy about a universally human experience. It's Christmas Eve. Are you ready?
