Plot: An immigrant Italian family's experiences in America (circa 1925), seen from the perspective of a young boy. In the midst of adjusting to a new country and coping with poverty, Arturo must also deal with his parents' separation when his father moves in with his sexy "boss." Though she's lost her husband when she needs him most, Arturo's mother nevertheless puts on a brave face. But the child wants his father back, so he devises a plan to bring his parents together. Will Arturo's scheme work?
