Donald Faison in Remember the Titans (2000)

DONALD FAISON (Petey Jones) completed his first season on the popular Warner Bros. series "Felicity" as Tracy, Eleni's celibate boyfriend, and will soon return to the production for the upcoming 2000-2001 season. This past summer he wrapped production on the independent feature "Double Whammy," starring opposite Denis Leary and Elizabeth Hurley.

Faison is a veritable icon to viewers after three seasons on the television series "Clueless" as the ultra-hip, ultra-cool Murray, a role he originated in Amy Heckerling's film of the same name. After starring opposite Alicia Silverstone and Stacey Dash, he was cast in the hit film "Waiting to Exhale," directed by Forest Whitaker and based on Terry McMillan's best-selling novel. Faison portrayed Tank, Gloria's (Loretta Devine) precocious teenage son.

Making his film debut in Paramount's controversial film, "Juice," Faison has an impressive career for one so young. His resume includes "Trippin'," "Sugar Hill" and Spike Lee's "New Jersey Drive." He starred in "Prep" opposite Edward Asner, "Butter" starring Ernie Hudson and "Can't Hardly Wait," starring Jennifer Love Hewitt.

On television Faison has appeared in several episodes of "Sabrina the Teenage Witch," "Sister, Sister" and "New York Undercover." In 1997 he hosted Dick Clark's "New Year's Rockin' Eve" for ABC.

Faison's formal education began at the Children's School for Development of Intuitive and God Conscious Art, a school developed by the National Black Theatre where his parents worked. He also attended the Professional Children's School with fellow actors Melissa Joan Hart and Malcolm Jamal Warner. He is an alumnus of City Kids Repertory Company in New York City, an organization devoted to promoting teen consciousness. He continues to make special appearances across the country speaking to young people on various social issues. He co-wrote "What You Gonna Do About Hate," an educational music video with Malik Yoba of "New York Undercover."
