The missing footage, which is not likely ever to turn up, would be one of the most sought-after finds in cinema.
"Greed" examines the destructive psychological effects of wealth on a couple when the woman wins a lottery; as she gradually becomes more and more consumed with the piles of gold she now owns, the relationship falls violently apart... and comes to a stunningly shocking and ironic climax.
