Plot: Espionage gets a nuclear twist in this no-nonsense thriller based on the novel by Frederick Forsyth ("Day of the Jackal"). In an attempt to destroy NATO, KGB bad guys plot to set off a bomb near the United States naval base in England. The intended result will be an faux "nuclear accident" for which the Americans will be blamed. Enter John Preston, an upstanding British agent who goes head to head with a natty Soviet spy in order to stave off a mini-holocaust.
