RENNY HARLIN (Director/Producer) has established himself as one of the industry's most renowned filmmakers, both as a director and producer, whose work encompasses drama, comedy, action and suspense in both film and television. Most recently, Harlin directed and produced the hit action thriller, "Deep Blue Sea," and produced "Blast From the Past," starring Alicia Silverstone, Brendan Fraser, Sissy Spacek and Christopher Walken.
In 1991, Harlin made his debut as a producer with the critically acclaimed "Rambling Rose." starring Robert Duvall, Lukas Haas, Laura Dern and Diane Ladd. The film earned Oscar nominations for both Best Actress (Dern) and Best Supporting Actress (Ladd). Harlin also produced "Speechless" in 1994, with Geena Davis and Michael Keaton.
Hahn's initial success as a director came with "Nightmare on Elm Street IV: The Dream Master." which at the time of its release was the highest-grossing independent film to date. He next directed the hit sequel "Die Hard 2: Die Harder," and in 1993, Harlin produced and directed the Sylvester Stallone blockbuster "Cliffhanger." which cemented Harlin's reputation as a leading action director.
